Refund Policy

Effective date: August 20, 2026

Last updated: August 20, 2026

This Refund Policy explains how refunds work for everything Planton Cloud, Inc. ("Planton", "we", or "us") sells: team subscriptions, self-hosted licenses, and prepaid AI credits. It supplements our Terms of Service. Where this policy is more generous than the Terms, this policy applies.

Our approach in one sentence: the free tier never bills, prices are what they say, and if something we sold you did not work out, we would rather fix it or refund it than argue about it.

1. Team Subscriptions

  • Cancel anytime. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — monthly or annual — and you keep full access until then. No cancellation fees, ever.
  • No partial-period refunds. When you cancel, we do not claw back the period you already paid for; you simply are not charged again.
  • Accidental renewals. If an annual subscription renewed and you contact us within 14 days of the renewal charge without having meaningfully used the Service in the new period, we will refund the renewal in full.
  • If we terminate your subscription without cause, we refund the unused portion of what you prepaid, pro-rata, as described in the Terms of Service.
  • The free tier never bills. Free-tier organizations have no payment method on file and cannot be charged. When a free-tier limit is reached, the affected action pauses — nothing is ever charged to "keep things running."

2. Self-Hosted Licenses

  • 14-day money-back guarantee. If a self-hosted license is not what you needed, contact us within 14 days of the purchase for a full refund — no questionnaire, no hoops.
  • Renewals. Each yearly renewal has the same 14-day window from the renewal charge.
  • Stopping renewal. Cancel a license's automatic renewal anytime — email [email protected] from the purchase email address, and the license simply runs out its paid term instead of renewing. Nothing changes until then.
  • What happens after a refund. The refunded license is revoked: it stops renewing and its update window closes. Your deployment is never remotely disabled — everything already running keeps running, and the deployment steps down gracefully to the free community edition at the end of the license's grace period. Nothing you built is deleted or held hostage.
  • Chargebacks. A chargeback is treated as a refund request we did not get to see first: the license is revoked the same way. If a chargeback was filed in error, contact us and we will sort it out.

3. Prepaid AI Credits

  • Unused credit packs. A credit pack that is entirely unused is refundable within 14 days of purchase.
  • Partially used balances. Credits that have been consumed are not refundable — they paid for AI usage that already happened. If a technical fault on our side consumed credits without delivering the service you paid for, contact us and we will restore them.
  • Credits do not expire. Your prepaid balance remains available for as long as your account exists.
  • Auto top-up. Auto top-up is off by default and only ever charges the amount and threshold you configured. An auto top-up charge is refundable under the same unused-pack rule above.

4. How To Request a Refund

Email [email protected] from the email address associated with the purchase, with the receipt or the purchase reference. We respond within 2 business days, and approved refunds are returned to the original payment method (processing times depend on your bank, typically 5–10 business days).

5. Where Law Gives You More

Nothing in this policy limits any non-waivable rights you hold under the consumer-protection law of your place of residence. Where local law provides a longer refund window or broader rights, local law wins.
